Hi there! I am Elina and I am a fourth-year student in Actuarial Mathematics at Concordia University. I am extremely honoured and excited to be the President of MASSA for the 2022-2023 academic year. My goal is to collaborate with my fellow peers in order to help students achieve their career endeavours by providing resources and support through webinars, the career fair, mentorship programs, crash courses, Lunch and Learns, podcasts and much more. I love to meet people, network and have fun so make sure to come to our social events to have a chat and make the most out of your university time!
Some of my fun facts are that I have been to more than 20 countries, I am also an avid makeup artist and during my free time, I like to workout, to box, go biking and trying different foods. VP Academic
Shadia Tavakoli-Saravani
Hey everyone!
My name is Shadia and I am extremely happy to be MASSA’s VP Academic for the 2022-2023 academic year! I am a second-year student in Actuarial Mathematics, and it is actually my first-time being a part of MASSA. My main goal is to organize events for everyone to get to know one another and to create a fun community atmosphere within the different programs in the math department. I am especially looking forward to finally being able to organize in person events all throughout the school year. Outside of school I love to travel and to go out with friends, but on the other hand, I also enjoy staying in and watching Netflix. I also love to meet new people so feel free to reach out for anything on Facebook or LinkedIn even if it is not school related!

Effie Maragou
VP Internal
Effie Maragou
Hi!
My name is Efstathia but you can call me Effie! I am a third year student in Actuarial Mathematics and I am thrilled to be the VP Internal of MASSA this year. After joining the Social Committee last semester, it encouraged me to become more involved in order to help students who share similar interests. I love the sense of community that has been built so far and I am happy to be a part of it and to personally contribute. Outside of school, I love watching comedies and eating ice-cream and popsicles. You can catch me having a popsicle with -30 degree weather!!! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me on Facebook or LinkedIn about any questions, concerns or just to talk! I’m excited to meet new people!

Jérémy Tremblay
VP Social
Jérémy Tremblay
Hi everybody!
My name is Jérémy, I am a second-year student in Actuarial Mathematics, and I am delighted to be MASSA’s VP Social. It’s my first opportunity to integrate MASSA’s executive team, and I can’t wait to make the most out of this experience! My primary ambition is to create a fair, accessible, and enjoyable community to grant students the opportunity to make new connections to benefit the most from student life. More precisely, to achieve that objective I will be working on organizing social events and parties, alongside supporting the implementation of the mentorship program, as well as designing MASSA’s new collection of merchandise. Outside of school, I enjoy staying active and meeting new people. In fact, during my leisure time, you will either find me playing soccer, working out, hanging out with friends, or attending networking events. If you wish to share any information that can help enhance the student life or you simply need help with something else, feel free to contact me via LinkedIn, Facebook or reach out to me personally at school.

Olivia Mirijello
Hi everyone!
My name is Olivia and I am super excited to be your VP Finance for the 2022-2023 academic year! I am a third-year student specializing in Mathematical and Computational Finance and it is my first year as a MASSA executive. Given my non-actuarial program, my main goal this year will be to work with the rest of my team to make sure all MASSA students are well represented such as by increasing the number of Investment and Finance firms at our biggest networking event, the Wine & Cheese. On a more personal note, I have been playing soccer my entire life and have just recently started playing tennis and going spinning! I love meeting new people so please don't hesitate to reach out on Facebook or LinkedIn for whatever it may be. Looking forward to a great year!
Philip Delgado-Tribout
VP External
Philip Delgado-Tribout
Hello everyone!
My name is Philip, and I am a fourth-year student studying Actuarial Mathematics. I have been a committee member for two years and I am excited to be your VP External for this academic year. I have edited multiple podcast episodes, assisted in brainstorming sessions, and had the pleasure to host two podcasts (Complexity Theory and the Millennium Problem P vs NP & Risk Measures and Dependence Models). My goal is to continue producing and promoting the MASSA podcast, making the episodes as entertaining and informative as possible. I want members of the external committee to not only enjoy their time being a member of MASSA, but also acquire valuable knowledge from being part of such a positive experience as much as I have throughout my undergrad studies. When I’m at university, you will most likely find me at the library doing my homework or preparing for exams. My pass times include singing, playing the guitar, bouldering, and skiing. I am also a huge geek. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding your studies, or if you want to talk about Star Wars and Marvel movies!
