Hi everyone!
My name is Daria and I am a third-year student in Actuarial Mathematics at Concordia University. I am beyond honoured and grateful to be the President of MASSA for the 2024-2025 academic year. My team and I are looking forward to help students pursue their ultimate career and academic goals through several networking events, mentorship program, webinars, Lunch and Learns, crash courses and much more! We are also excited to maximize everyone’s university experience with various social events where you are all guaranteed to have a good time! Outside of school, I enjoy trying out new restaurants and coffee shops in Montreal as well as going to concerts. My dream is to travel the world and swim in all bodies of water. My name is Athanasios and I am really excited to be your VP Academic for this year! I am a third-year student specializing in Actuarial Mathematics and it is my second year as a MASSA executive. Being part of the Academic Committee in my first year, I really enjoyed MASSA’s sense of community, which motivated me to get more involved the following years. My goal is to contribute to this atmosphere and build student confidence with the help of our annual Wine and Cheese and Lunch and Learns. At school, you will most likely find me at the library or at any of MASSA’s events. Outside of class, I enjoy hanging out with friends, going for coffee, and meeting new people. My name is Sarah Fragman and I am honoured to be your VP Internal for the 2024-2025 academic year! As a fourth-year student in Actuarial Mathematics that has previously been a part of MASSA’S Academic Committee, I have seen the involvement MASSA has in enriching student lives and am proud to now be an executive for such a hardworking team. The main resources I will be offering to students this year are the mock interviews, the mentorship program and student grants, with the goal of driving student motivation and success to further their careers. When I’m not in the library studying or attending one of MASSA’s many events, I enjoy watching sporting events, concerts and getting dinner with friends. I'm Tiffany, a third-year Actuarial Science student. With two years of active involvement within MASSA, including work on the external affairs committee and the social committee, I've gained valuable experience and am committed to fostering a strong and inclusive community. My goal as VP Social is to organize diverse and enjoyable events that bring members together, helping them thrive socially and academically. My name is Rayan and I am a third-year Actuarial Mathematics student. I have been on MASSA for now 3 years, and it is my pleasure to serve as your VP Finance for this year. My main task is to manage MASSA’s budget and make sure we have the funds necessary to organize the various events (and fun parties) we have planned for this coming year! Outside of school, I love training hard at the gym and hanging out with my friends. Hello incoming and current math students,
My name is Hani and this year, I will be your VP External. I am a third-year actuarial student who has held a VP Social position with MASSA, a VP Finance position with ASNA, and completed two internships with TD Insurance and Sun Life respectively. I have also been financially independent for the last three years whilst trying to have a role to play in as many projects as possible. I am most keen on exploring the world whether that be through maths, music, reading, or traveling.
This coming year, I hope to make an impact on our undergraduates by hosting and managing the MASSA podcasts, or by shepherding the mentorship program. I am excited to lead another team of students and guide them through their journey with MASSA or Concordia as a whole regardless of their major.
